OVERVIEW
For this project, I was tasked with designing 2 different shirts for a Bachelorette party – one unique design for the bride-to-be, and another for the gals attending the celebratory weekend. This was a fun project to work on since I was really able (and encouraged!) to put my handlettering skills to the test.

DESIGN CONCEPT SKETCHES
The Maid-of-Honor chose a tropical theme for the weekend, utilizing a pun based off the bride-to-be’s new surname and a recurring flamingo icon. She wanted all shirts to incorporate the flamingo in some way, with handlettered greetings on top of the flamingo artwork. She had some initial copy in mind, and we bounced a few ideas back and forth to brainstorm some additional copy options for both shirt designs.
COLOR PALETTE
The Maid of Honor chose a white shirt for the bride and black shirts for everyone else, so we decided to stick with a simple black/white for the typography on all of the shirts and use a bright pink as the accent color for the flamingo artwork.
SHIRT DESIGN OPTIONS
I mocked up 2 different versions for each shirt design with varied greetings and/or flamingo artwork. The MOH chose to move forward with option 1 for the bride’s shirt, and an adjusted version that combined elements from both options for the other guests.
FINAL DESIGN
The final designs were cleaned up in Illustrator and then cut out on vinyl before applying to the shirts.
